Creating Databases

To create new databases, you need login to your cPanel account. (Don’t know how to login to your cPanel account? Click here)

From the cPanel main screen, locate and click on the phpMyAdmin from the category Databases.

You will be redirected to the page to “Create New Database”. Type in the database name you wish to use and just click on “Create Database” button and you will receive a confirmation that you have added the new database. Click on the “Go Back” button to go back to the MySQL Databases screen.

Once done, you will then see the newly created database from the MySQL Databases screen. There will be an option for you to rename or delete the database. On this “Modify Database” part of the screen, you can also see the option to Check Database (for errors) and Repair Database (if there are errors found).

Creating Database Users

From the MySQL Databases screen, scroll down to see the MySQL users. You can add users by typing in the username and desired password (There is also an option for you to use the “Password Generator”. Click on the Advanced Option to adjust which characters you prefer to be used for your password.) After filling up the fields, you can click on the “Create User” to continue.

You will see a green box with the confirmation that your database user has been created. Just click on the “Go Back” button to go back to the MySQL Databases screen.

When you are done, you will see the new user that you have created. You also have the option to change the password, rename and delete existing database users.
