Here's how you can edit your email settings on your Outlook email client!
Note: You will need to grab your email account settings from CPanel > Email Accounts > 'Set up mail client' or 'more' > 'Set up mail client', this will provide you with two settings Non-SSL and SSL. The SSL settings secures your connections to the server in case you're going to access your email accounts from a public location or if you find your account compromised more than once.
1. Open Outlook and depending on the Outlook version access 'Account Settings', it's usually located in 'Tools' on the top menu
2. Select the email account you want to edit and click 'Change'
3. From here you will be able to change the basic settings of your email account, such as, Incoming and Outgoing Server/Hostname, Protocol (IMAP or POP3), username and password. In order to edit settings like port number and secure it with SSL, you will need to click 'More Settings'.
4. In this window you will have access to 4 Tabs, General, Outgoing Server, Connection and Advanced. The most important are 'Outgoing Server' and 'Advanced'.
4.1 In the 'Outgoing Server' tab, on our servers, the option 'Use same settings as my incoming mail server' is often used as the login details are the same.
4.2 In the 'Advanced' tab, you should setting the Server Port numbers and if it uses SSL according to the information provided on your CPanel account.
Once this settings have been changed click 'OK' which will take you back to the basic account settings, click 'Next' to initiate a test email and once the test finishes click 'Next' again to finish the editing. That's it! Hope you were able to change your settings and if not, let us know and we will try to help you as best as we can!
