How To Setup UKHost4u VPN On Your Mac OS Device

From this guide we will show you how to setup the UKHost4u VPN connection from your Mac OS Device.

Before we start, you should have your:

 

  • Username
  • Password
  • Pre-Shared Key (PSK)

 

Adding the VPN Connection

First, click on the Apple Icon from the upper left corner of your screen.

 

 

Once the drop down menu shows up, click on “System Preferences” as shown below.

 

 

A window for your System Settings will then be opened and from there just click on the Network icon.

 

 

You will then be redirected to the Network Settings, just click on the “+” icon on the lower left part of the window.

 

 

Entering VPN Connection Details

On this part, you should follow and choose the below settings:

Interface: VPN
VPN Type: L2TP over IPSec
Service Name: Your Preferred VPN Name
Then click on Create button once done.

 

 

On the Configuration, just choose Add Configuration and enter the Configuration name you prefer.

Server Address: mikrotik.ukhost4u.com
Account Name: Your VPN Username

Optional: You may check the box for “Show VPN status in Menu Bar” for you to see the status of your VPN connection on the top of the screen.

 

 

Then click on the Authentication Settings, enter your VPN password and the Pre-shared key provided by us.

Click on OK button once done.

 

 

Connecting to the VPN

After you completed all the require settings, you may proceed to click on the “Connect” button.

The status will show Connected to confirm that you are connected to the VPN.
